”Mercy - a: compassion or forbearance shown especially to an offender or to one subject to one’s power; also : lenient or compassionate treatment <begged for mercy>
b : imprisonment rather than death imposed as penalty for first-degree murder.”
And this is what the Lord REQUIRES (Micah 6:8). That we “LOVE mercy”. How many of us can attest that we not only love the fact that we have been mercifully pardoned, but love offering pardons to those who are undeserving of a second chance by societies standards? Are we a people who freely grant amnesty because we have been freed ourselves? I feel like we should spend some time as the Church meditating on this.
