Just watched a live press conference with Mayor Mitch Landrieu, discussing how they plan on handling the escalating violent crime in New Orleans. I heard plenty of interesting tactics, all of which i’ve heard before, but Jesus’ teachings was not one of them. I pray, with all of my being, that the spirit of God sends Kingdom people not afraid to stand up for life, using the self-sacrificial love displayed by Jesus on the bloody cross of Calvary; With hearts overflowing with mercy, forgiveness, and eager and ready to overcome evil with good. Its time we turn our weapons of hate, violence and war into gardening tools and recreate this world, beginning one heart at a time.
